Adam Scott, Arnold Palmer, Greg Norman Among Those on List of Golf’s Worst Major Meltdowns (Video)

Honorable mention: Roberto De Vicenzo, 1968 Masters. Although De Vicenzo’s gaffe was more of a brain fart than a meltdown, he gets an honorable mention on our list for throwing away a chance at a green jacket. After shooting a final-round 65, the Argentine appeared headed to a playoff with Bob Goalby. But De Vicenzo’s playing partner, Tommy Aaron, incorrectly gave him a 4 on the 17th hole instead of a 3, and De Vicenzo did not catch the mistake when he went to sign his scorecard. PGA rules forced De Vicenzo to accept the score, handing Goalby the victory. |
