Roger Dorn, Jimmy Morris Lend Daniel Bard Some Advice on How to Straighten Things Out on the Mound
|
Roger Dorn (Major League): “Strike this [expletive] out.” At this point, this one might be easier said than done for Bard. However, there is no debating that when he’s at his best, he’s getting swings and misses. Bard’s strikeout numbers have seen a dip now in every season of his big league career. Even so, he was still striking out more than nine batters per nine innings last season, or a strikeout an inning. Of course, if you’re struggling with your command and getting the ball in the strike zone, you’re not going to punch out batters. It all comes back to throwing strikes in ever imaginable facet of pitching, something Bard desperately needs to correct. Or, he could just a get pair of those glasses. (Look out for salty language at the end of this video). |
